Intro to Engineering and
​Mfg. Design

Introduction to Engineering Design and Manufacturing is a high school level course that is appropriate for all students who are interested in design and engineering. While the course is specifically designed for 9th-10th grade levels, it is available for any student wishing to take a look at the engineering subject matter.

Architecture

Students will be introduced to the Architectural Design Process including sketching, critical analysis and problem solving, the latest industry CAD and BIM software, and the methods and techniques used in the field of Architecture. Students will complete the necessary drawings for a working set of construction documents.​

Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) is one of the specialized courses in the PLTW Pathway in the Engineering course sequence. Students who have successfully completed the foundation courses Introduction to Engineering Design (IED) and Principles of Engineering (POE) at Petaluma High can easily transition to this course.
