Intro to Engineering and
​Mfg. Design

Introduction to Engineering Design and Manufacturing is a high school level course that is appropriate for all students who are interested in design and engineering. While the course is specifically designed for 9th-10th grade levels, it is available for any student wishing to take a look at the engineering subject matter.

Architecture

Students will be introduced to the Architectural Design Process including sketching, critical analysis and problem solving, the latest industry CAD and BIM software, and the methods and techniques used in the field of Architecture. Students will complete the necessary drawings for a working set of construction documents.​

Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) is one of the specialized courses in the PLTW Pathway in the Engineering course sequence. Students who have successfully completed the foundation courses Introduction to Engineering Design (IED) and Principles of Engineering (POE) at Petaluma High can easily transition to this course.

Auto Engineering
Technology ​1

This course is a basic introduction to study transportation system repair. 
The course covers 33 sections that require understanding in the transportation repair industry.

Auto Engineering Technology 2

This course covers 24 advanced sections including vehicle computer controls, emissions, HVAC, advanced electrical diagnosis, Diesel fundamentals, and electrical systems.

Auto Engineering Technology 4

This course covers 21 advanced sections including, full electric vehicles, and motorsports technology, repair shop operations, and financial, tax information

Auto Engineering Technology 3

This course covers 22 advanced sections including, engine building procedures, drivetrain technology and diagnosis, and hybrid engine technology.
